Evinrude Boat Propellers Meet a Variety of Needs
Boating enthusiasts who have an Evinrude outboard engine installed on their watercraft will eventually run into the need to arrange for Evinrude boat propellers that will work with their given engine. Evinrude props actually work with a wide variety of engines that are produced by the Evinrude company.
Evinrude in Brief
The Evinrude company got its start in the early years of the 20th century when Ole Evinrude designed and tested an innovative new outboard motor. This motor ended up being water cooled and featured two cycles. Early motors were produced by hand, but it was not long until industrial processes were put to work to make them at a lower cost than before.
By the World War II years, Evinrude was making motors for the U.S. Armed Forces, including lightweight engines that provided emergency power on rubber rescue rafts. Now, Evinrude continues to be a going concern, recently introducing 25- and 30-horsepower motors such as the Evinrude E-TEC, which offers excellent fuel efficiency – in fact, the highest in its engine class. Evinrude E-TEC engines also outstrip their competition in terms of engine weight and power levels delivered. In real world terms, this means that Evinrude boat propellers installed on an E-TEC can deliver the kind of fast acceleration that is needed in many boating activities such as pulling a water skier.
Evinrude engines have other advantages as well, including such practical design features as a tiller handle that folds down for convenient storage, but allows for ease of carrying when needed.
